Visa

Why do I need to book flights, hotels, and transport before getting an Umrah visa?

Saudi authorities introduced this requirement to protect pilgrims from unlicensed accommodation and unsafe transport. Your visa application is verified against a booking reference number (BRN) from Nusuk, so incomplete or missing bookings result in automatic rejection.

Can I book my own hotel and flights instead of using a travel agency?

Yes, in many cases. You can book Nusuk-approved hotels and flights independently through licensed platforms, as long as everything is properly logged and linked to your visa application. Many pilgrims still prefer agencies since they handle the paperwork and Nusuk registration for you.

Is Uber or Careem accepted as transport proof for an Umrah visa?

No. Ride-hailing apps aren't accepted as valid transport documentation. You need a pre-booked, licensed pilgrim transport service registered in the Nusuk system to meet the visa requirement.

How long does it take to get an Umrah visa?

Standard processing is 2–3 working days. Urgent service can complete applications in 12–48 hours subject to document quality and Saudi system availability.

What happens if my hotel or transport booking isn't verified on Nusuk?

Your visa application will likely be delayed or rejected outright. Saudi authorities have made it clear that incomplete documentation — even from staying with family or friends — won't be accepted without a confirmed, verified hotel booking.

Can I apply for an Umrah visa without a travel package?

No. As of the current Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah rules, you cannot get an Umrah visa without a travel package. Every applicant must show confirmed hotel and transport bookings through the official Nusuk platform before a visa is issued — this is known as the "No Booking, No Visa" rule. Skipping this step will delay or reject your application.

Is the meningitis vaccination mandatory?

Requirements change. Air travelers from the UAE are often not asked for meningitis vaccination, while land-border crossings may request influenza certificates. We confirm the latest rule before you travel.

Can women travel for Umrah without a mahram?

Yes, under current Saudi regulations women may travel for Umrah without a mahram.

What happens if my visa application is rejected?

We review documents before submission to reduce rejection risk. If an application is declined, our team explains the reason and advises the next step.
